. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Tom Underwood recorded his first complete game of the season on a four-hitter as the A's downed the Blue Jays, 5-1. Oakland picked up a pair of markers in the fifth inning on Mike Heath's grounder which was fumbled by Jays shortstop Alfredo Griffin, and a squeeze bunt by Dave McKay. Jim Spencer cracked an RBI double in the sixth and the A's scored two runs in the seventh on singles by Keith Drumright, McKay, Fred Stanley and Rickey Henderson. [The Sporting News]
