Atlanta tallied twice in the first inning on an RBI double by Claudell Washington and run-scoring single by Dale Murphy. Washington, who clouted a three-run homer in the fifth and had five RBIs in the contest, doubled home a fourth-inning run before Chris Chambliss followed with a bases-loaded triple.
