. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Four-hit pitching by Jerry Reuss led the Dodgers to a 6-1 victory over the Astros, preventing Houston from clinching the second-half title in the N.L. West. The Astros also lost pitcher Don Sutton for the remainder of the season when he suffered a fractured right kneecap after being hit by a pitch in the third inning.

The Dodgers scored in the second inning on an RBI double by Rick Monday and added another marker in the fourth when Pedro Guerrero bounced into a double play. Steve Garvey and Dusty Baker delivered RBI singles in a three-run seventh and the third run of the frame came home on a wild pitch. [The Sporting News]
