Steve Henderson banged out four hits, scored twice and drove in a run to pace the Cubs to an 8-4 victory over the Phillies. Chicago broke a 4-4 tie in the sixth inning when pinch-hitter Steve Dillard walked, advanced to second on a balk and scored on a single by Bill Buckner. A triple by Henderson ignited a three-run seventh than iced the game for the Cubs. Mike Schmidt blasted his 31st homer of the season with two mates aboard in the fifth inning. [The Sporting News]
