. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Driving in two runs with a homer and a triple, rookie outfielder Paul Householder led the Reds to a 6-2 victory over the Cubs. Householder cracked a bases-empty blast in the fourth inning to give the Reds a 1-0 lead and then drilled a run-scoring triple in the sixth to make the margin 2-0. The Reds put the game out of reach in the seventh on an RBI single by Dave Concepcion and a run-scoring double by Cesar Cedeno. [The Sporting News]
