Veteran knuckleballer Charlie Hough pitched his fifth complete game in 24 major league starts and Buddy Bell swatted two homers as the Rangers downed the Indians, 8-3, in the season's opener for both clubs. Bell's circuit clouts were solo shots in the third and fifth innings. George Wright drove in three runs with a bases-empty homer in the third, RBI single in the fourth and run-scoring two-bagger in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
