Rick Mahler pitched his second consecutive shutout as the Braves recorded their fifth straight triumph, beating the Astros, 5-0. The Braves scored three runs in the fourth inning on a walk to Bob Horner, Dale Murphy's two-run homer and an RBI single by Rafael Ramirez. Horner belted a solo round-tripper in the eighth, his first hit of the year after 14 at-bats. [The Sporting News]
