Pitching a four-hitter, Jack Morris hurled the Tigers to a 4-2 decision over the Blue Jays. The game was tied, 2-2, when John Wockenfuss began the eighth inning with an infield single. Lou Whitaker then bunted and Toronto pitcher Dale Murray, trying for the force at second, threw the ball into the outfield.
