Bruce Benedict drove in key runs as the unbeaten Braves came from behind to record their eighth straight triumph, beating the Reds, 5-2 in 10 innings. The Braves trailed, 2-1, going into the ninth when Rufino Linares stroked a one-out single and Benedict followed with a two-bagger, bringing in Linares with the tying run.

Atlanta loaded the bases with one out in the 10th on a pair of walks and a single by Bob Horner. Benedict then walked to put the Braves ahead, 3-2, and Rafael Ramirez stroked a two-run single to ice the verdict. [The Sporting News]
