A throwing error on a double steal enabled the decisive runs to score as the unbeaten White Sox rolled to their eighth straight triumph, beating the Orioles, 6-4. It was Baltimore's sixth loss in a row. The game was tied, 4-4, when Vance Law led off the bottom of the seventh with a walk and Ron LeFlore followed with an infield single.

Law and LeFlore then executed a double steal and both scored when catcher Rick Dempsey threw the ball into left field for an error while trying to throw out Law at third. Rookie Salome Barojas registered his fifth save in as many appearances. [The Sporting News]
