Cecil Cooper drove in three runs with two doubles and a single as the Brewers won their fifth straight game, 11-6 over the Rangers. Milwaukee took a 7-6 lead in the sixth inning on a single by Ned Yost, Buddy Bell's two-base error on a grounder by Charlie Moore, an RBI single by Robin Yount and Cooper's run-scoring single. The Brewers added three runs in the eighth on a double by Cooper and Roy Howell's two-run double. Jim Gantner hit a solo homer in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
