Ray Knight drove in three runs and Nolan Ryan recorded his first victory after four defeats as the Astros topped the Cardinals, 6-2. Ryan became the first Houston pitcher to go the distance this season. Knight drilled a two-run homer in the first inning, doubled and scored on a two-run homer by Jose Cruz in the third and delivered an RBI single in the fourth.
