A two-run homer by Bill Madlock climaxed a three-run rally in the eighth inning that lifted the Pirates to a 6-4 decision over the Braves, Atlanta's fourth straight loss after its record 13 season-beginning victories. The Bucs trailed, 4-3, when Dave Parker rapped a two-out double in the eighth inning and scored on a single by Jason Thompson. Madlock then followed with his blast over the left field fence.
