. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Driving in five runs with a homer and double, Hal McRae led the Royals to an 8-5 victory over the Red Sox, ending Boston's eight-game winning streak. McRae's round-tripper came in the first inning with two mates aboard, and later in the same frame Dennis Werth and Greg Pryor stroked RBI singles. McRae then drilled a two-run double in the second stanza and scored on a single by Frank White. [The Sporting News]
