. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Blasting off with six runs in the first inning, the Indians snapped a four-game losing skein by downing the Mariners, 6-1. The Tribe sent 10 men to the plate in their first turn at bat as Mike Hargrove singled home the first run, an infield hit by Von Hayes drove in another and Rick Manning and Jack Perconte delivered two-run singles. Len Barker allowed just three hits over the first seven innings in recording his third victory of the season. [The Sporting News]
