. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A three-run pinch-homer by Reggie Smith in the ninth inning lifted the Giants to a 5-4 victory over the Mets. The Giants were behind, 4-2, when Jim Wohlford singled and Jeff Ransom walked to start the bottom of the ninth. Neil Allen relieved Pete Falcone on the hill for New York and wild-pitched the runners to second and third before Smith, hitting for Johnnie LeMaster, delivered the game-winning hit.
