Bobby Johnson's first hit of the season -- a leadoff homer in the fifth inning -- produced the only run of the contest as the Rangers snapped their 12-game losing streak with a 1-0 triumph over the Red Sox. The Sox outhit Texas, 12-4, and put their leadoff batter on base in five of the first six innings, but a series of outstanding defensive plays behind Doc Medich and Danny Darwin erased six Boston baserunners.
