Marc Hill, Tom Paciorek and Rudy Law hit homers to power the White Sox to their fifth straight victory, 7-4 over the Tigers. Hill belted a solo shot in the third inning and Greg Luzinski doubled home two runs later in the same frame. Paciorek connected with a mate on base to give the Sox a 5-4 lead in the eighth, and Law provided insurance with a two-run circuit swat in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
