The White Sox stretched ther winning streak to six games by edging the Tigers, 4-3. The Sox took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on singles by Tony Bernazard and Steve Kemp, an RBI double by Greg Luzinski and Tom Paciorek's sacrifice fly.

Rudy Law delivered a run-scoring single in the second and added an RBI triple in the ninth. Salome Barojas gained his eighth save despite allowing a solo pinch-homer by Tom Brookens in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
