Ken Oberkfell's run-scoring single in the ninth inning proved decisive when the Cardinals outlasted the Braves, 10-9 in a 29-hit swatfest. Claudell Washington hit a home run and Dale Murphy unloaded a two-run blast, his 11th homer of the season and second of the game, against Bruce Sutter in the ninth.
