A three-run homer by Dave Winfield climaxed a five-run rally in the seventh inning that gave the Yankees a 7-4 win over the A's. The winning surge began when the Yanks loaded the bases with two outs on singles by Bucky Dent and Andre Robertson and a walk to Ken Griffey.
