In a game shortened by rain, the White Sox posted their fifth straight victory, 3-2 over the Indians. The game was tied, 2-2, going into the bottom of the seventh inning, when Harold Baines drew a one-out walk and went to second on a wild pitch. After Jim Morrison flied out, Bill Almon drilled a double that scored Baines. Umpires then halted play and called the game an hour and 47 minutes later. [The Sporting News]
