Charlie Lea and Woodie Fryman combined on a two-hitter, leading the Expos to a 2-0 blanking of the Reds. Fryman came on to record the save after Lea yielded a leadoff single in the bottom of the ninth inning. The only other hit off him was a one-out single by Dan Driessen in the sixth.
