Jim Maler belted his first grand slam to cap a seven-run third inning, and Gene Nelson pitched a four-hitter to lead the Mariners to a 7-1 triumph over the Brewers. The Mariners sent 10 batters to the plate in the third when they did all their scoring after two were out. The first three runs came on a two-run single by Gary Gray and an RBI single by Todd Cruz.
