A two-run pinch double by Cesar Geronimo climaxed a three-run eighth inning that lifted the Royals to a 5-3 decision over the Rangers. Trailing, 3-2, K.C. tied the game in the eighth on singles by Amos Otis, Hal McRae and Jerry Martin. Geronimo then hit his two-bagger to score McRae and Martin. Reliever Mike Armstrong recieved credit for his first A.L. victory.
