A grand slam by Rick Miller enabled the Red Sox to down the A's, 5-2. Miller's blast came in the fourth inning and wiped out a 1-0 Oakland lead. The A's managed only five hits, including Rickey Henderson's home run in the first and a homer by Tony Armas in the eighth, off the pitching of Bob Ojeda and Bob Stanley. [The Sporting News]
