Mike Norris unfurled a four-hitter as the A's blanked the Red Sox, 5-0. Dwayne Murphy smacked a two-run homer in the first inning and Dave McKay blasted a two-run circuit shot in the second. The final Oakland run came in the fourth when McKay singled and came around on a single by Jeff Newman and an error by Jim Rice. [The Sporting News]
