A two-run single by Tony Pena with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted the Pirates to an 8-7 triumph over the Dodgers. The Bucs trailed, 7-6, when Mike Easler and pinch-hitter Willie Stargell drew consecutive one-out walks. A pinch-single by Willie Montanez then loaded the bases and, after Steve Nicosia struck out, Pena cracked the game-winning hit.
