Atlanta trailed, 1-0, with one out in the seventh inning when Dale Murphy singled and Bob Horner walked. A double by Chris Chambliss scored Murphy and moved Horner to third. After Jerry Royster ran for Horner and Glenn Hubbard was walked intentionally to load the bases, pinch-hitter Keith Smith struck out. But Biff Pocoroba, batting for Rick Mahler, then drew a walk on a 3-2 pitch to deliver Royster and give the Braves a 2-1 victory over the Expos. [The Sporting News]
