Willie Aikens went 5-for-6 and drove in four runs as the Royals battered the Yankees, 14-1. Aikens, who tied a club record with three doubles, was supported in the 22-hit assault by George Brett with four hits and John Wathan and Hal McRae with three RBIs each.
