Terry Bradshaw, the NFL's No. 1 draft pick, gave way to Terry Hanratty midway in the game and Hanratty put the Steelers on the scoreboard with a TD pass to rookie Ron Shanklin. The game inaugurated regular-season competition in the new Pittsburgh stadium.
