A final-second tipped TD pass from Daryle Lamonica to Warren Wells in the end zone enabled Oakland to move into the decisive game in the AFC West vs. Kansas City the following week. Wells caught two of seven passes directed his way, both for TDs. George Blanda threw the other during Lamonica's temporary absence because of an injured hip. Blanda also kicked the decisive final extra point.
