Ed Sharockman's first of two interceptions preceded a 25-yard Gary Cuozzo-to-Stu Voigt pass that set up Dave Osborn's two-yard scoring burst for the only touchdown of the game in the first period. Sharockman's second steal and another interception by Karl Kassulke halted Baltimore drives of 49 and 59 yards. Minnesota's defense also stopped Baltimore twice inside its own five-yard line, the final time when a John Unitas pass grazed the crossbar from the Vikings' two with 42 seconds remaining.
