George Blanda, a fourth period replacement at quarterback, led Oakland to a 20-20 tie after the Raiders had trailed 20-10 on two runs by Ed Podolak and two field goals by Jan Stenerud. Blanda, who achieved the distinction of becoming the highest scorer in pro football history with 1,609 points, kicked the tying field goal from the 8-yard line with 2½ minutes left. He also threw a 24-yard TD pass to Fred Biletnikoff.
