Floyd Little scored three times at the end of long drives engineered by Broncos' QB Charley Johnson. Little wound up with 82 yards on 22 carries but Essex Johnson of the Bengals was the top rusher in the game with 90 on 11 attempts. Cincinnati outgained the Broncos 344-343 but could score only once, on Johnson's 22-yard run. Ken Anderson went most of the way for the Bengals with Greg Cook, making a comeback after a shoulder injury which had kept him out since 1969, playing part of the last quarter. Jim Turner ran his consecutive extra point streak to 175, longest of any active player. The NFL record is 234, held by Tommy Davis of the 49ers.
