Joe Namath suffered a shoulder separation in the first quarter when hit by a blitzing linebacker but Al Woodall, completing 17 of 21 for 149 yards and two TDs, helped the Jets to their first '73 victory. New York's defense intercepted eight passes, four against rookie starter Bert Jones and four against Marty Domres. Rich Sowells picked off three and scored with a 30-yard return; Delles Howell intercepted two. It was a 13-10 game until Jets scored 21 in the final quarter.
