Ron Johnson and Vince Clements, regular New York RBs, did not play because of injuries and TE Bob Tucker, who caught Norm Snead's scoring pass in the second quarter, was forced out in the second half. The Browns' defense held the Giants to 123 yards total offense and intercepted three Snead passes, including two by safety Walt Sumner.
