Paul Krause kept Minnesota among the ranks of the unbeaten by intercepting two Steve Spurrier passes in the final quarter. Trailing 14-13 in the fourth quarter, the 49ers had driven from their 7-yard line to the Vikings' 13 when Carl Eller tipped a Spurrier pass and Krause intercepted. The 49ers were pressing again on the 42 before Krause again intercepted and set up the final FG by Fred Cox. Spurrier completed 31 of 48 for 320 yards.
