Billy Kilmer took over for injured Sonny Jurgensen and threw TD passes to Charley Taylor and Mike Hancock, completing 20 of 33 for 294 yards before he sustained an ankle injury. Despite a damaged knee, Jurgensen re-entered and finished the game. Taylor caught seven for 153 yards, making him the leading NFC receiver, and Larry Brown carried 27 times for 89 yards in the 428-yard Redskins' attack. Cornerback Mike Bass intercepted a Jim Hart pass and ran 68 yards for a score in the final quarter.
