Steve Zabel broke through to block Jeff White's 47-yard FG attempt with four seconds to go and preserve the win. Rookie Charle Young caught eight passes from Roman Gabriel for 108 yards and two touchdowns and rookie DE Will Wynn went 24 yards to score after recovering a bad snap from center. Eagles' rookie cornerback Joe Lavender blocked White's conversion attempt after the final Patriots' score.
