Joe Namath, out with a shoulder separation since Sept. 23, returned to action but the clock ran out on the New York Jets with inches to go, saving a 20-14 Cincinnati victory. Namath took over after an injury to Al Woodall, who had thrown two touchdown passes. The running and pass catching of Boobie Clark helped the Bengals pile up an early 17-0 lead.
