Norm Snead helped the New York Giants snap a seven-game losing streak after replacing the injured Randy Johnson in the first quarter. Snead broke a 10-10 tie with a 45-yard scoring pass to Ron Johnson on the first play of the last quarter and directed a long scoring drive that ended in ex-Cardinal John Roland's clinching touchdown. Jim Hart, St. Louis' starting QB, left the game due to injuries in the first quarter and rookie Gary Keithley went the rest of the way.
