Scott intercepted a pass and ran 29 yards, setting up a one-yard touchdown by Csonka who rushed for 80 yards on 22 carries. Griese threw a touchdown pass to Paul Warfield, and the Dolphins controlled the ball in the final quarter. The victory was Miami's first over Dallas, which had beaten them in Super Bowl VI.
