. . . where the 1970s live forever!

NFL game summary for 12/09/1973:

Roger Staubach pierced Washington's defense with 16 completions for 223 yards in a 27-7 victory that enabled Dallas to tie the Redskins for the NFC East lead (the Cowboys made up a seven-point deficit in head-to-head point differential and would win if the teams finished in a division tie). Curt Knight of the Redskins missed field goal attempts of 23, 28 and 37 yards in the second quarter but Dallas led only 3-0 at halftime. The Redskins were held to 59 yards rushing. Sonny Jurgensen went all the way for Washington at quarterback. The only Redskin score came on a blocked punt return by Ken Stone with less than four minutes to play.
