The Dolphins, trailing 21-7 in the final quarter, snapped back with three touchdowns, winning on a five-yard run by Jim Kiick with 15 seconds to go. Rookie Nat Moore, playing after Paul Warfield was injured, caught a touchdown pass from Bob Griese and also returned a punt 30 yards to set up the winning score. Larry Csonka gained 106 yards and scored twice but he was overshadowed by rookie Don Woods of the Chargers whose 157-yard total was the best in the first three weeks of NFL action.
