Philadelphia intercepted four San Diego passes and scored a touchdown on Bill Dunstan's 46-yard run after recovering a fumble to win the interconference game. Dunstan picked off the ball in mid air when QB Dan Fouts was hit by Randy Logan while attempting to pass. Don Woods, the Chargers' bargain rookie, had his second straight 100-yard plus rushing game (21 for 133) and moved into second place in the AFC rushing race. Po James was the top Eagles' rusher with 15 for 87 yards and also caught six passes for 26 yards. Logan's interception against Fouts led Philadelphia to its second score.
