NFL game summary for 10/13/1974:

Undefeated New England rolled to its fifth consecutive victory, ruining the home debut of the Jets who were shut out at home for the first time. The Patriots hadn't won in New York since 1965 and were 1-12-1 against Joe Namath, who was able to complete only 7 of 21 passes and was intercepted twice. Sam Cunningham gained 64 yards and scored twice and Mack Herron rushed for 59 and wound up with 173 yards of total offense holding onto his dual leadership in both return categories. John Riggins' 100-yard rushing was some solace to the Jets, who gained only 34 net yards passing.
