Seven interceptions and two fumble recoveries helped Pittsburgh turn back Kansas City despite three touchdown passes by Mike Livingston. Three Chiefs' quarterbacks threw 49 passes, a club record, but completed only 16. Glen Edwards, Jack Ham and Jack Lambert each picked off two passes and the Steelers sacked Livingston three times. Joe Gilliam was on target at key stages, completing 14 of 36 for 214 yards and one touchdown. The Chiefs led twice in the early stages but were able to make only 58 yards rushing.
