Charlie Smith swept wide for two vital yards and a winning touchdown with eight seconds to play and no more time outs in a comeback victory. The Raiders gave up the ball on a punt with three minutes to go and then stopped the Bengals and mounted the winning drive with Ken Stabler throwing to Fred Biletnikoff, Bob Moore and Mike Siani in key plays. Oakland intercepted Ken Anderson twice and sacked him four times but Stabler was dumped five times by the Bengals who also recovered two fumbles in a seesaw game. Oakland's Cliff Branch took over the AFC receiving lead with seven catches for 96 yards.
