Rookies Woody Green of the Chiefs and Don Woods of the Chargers put on a great show as the two clubs combined for a total of 815 total yards. Green ran for 146 and caught four passes for 98 yards, including a tie-breaking 69-yard touchdown toss from Len Dawson. Woods continued his sensational year with 154 yards rushing; his fourth 100-yard plus game in five starts moved him to within nine yards of the AFC rushing lead. Ed Podolak had 85 yards rushing for the Chiefs.
